Mentors are Also Your Chief Celebration Officer

Entrepreneurs often fail to celebrate their “small” wins because they see the long road ahead filled with many, many pebbles and rocks. They want to postpone the celebration to when they are finally successful.

Successful is really a silly word. No one can ever be “full” of success. The new meaning of “Successful” is: Having many successes, that overshadow the many failures.

This is where a good mentor can come in. Yes, one of the jobs of a mentor is to be a Dutch Uncle when things are not going well; but, equally important part of the job is to make sure that we celebrate all the small wins on the way. Write it in your mentors job description!
