I agree with Shane Wey’s comment that “Top” 5 priorities evolve and change over the life cycle of the business from Idea to MVP to growth stage etc. However the priorities listed in your Post are perhaps the “evergreen” priorities that never go away irrespective of the stage, even though some other priorities my “displace” them from the top 5.

One specific thing I have found to be effective in mentoring entrepreneurs is the value of constantly scanning for Ideas.

The business will change and evolve and story has to be understood by all concerned (#4 Story). New and different ideas will be needed to “ solve a maze with a pencil, start at the end and work backwards.” ( #3 Plan). It helps to get a diversity of Ideas from the Team (#2 Team) which not only gives a solid pool to draw from but also is a morale booster.

The problem is that in the desire to be efficienct CEO’s compromise effectiveness by asking the team for “good ideas”. See https://medium.com/@rajivtandon/generate-good-ideas-the-worst-thing-you-can-do-bc0bd37ecca0
