Can Entrepreneurs be taught? At a University?

Clearly an entrepreneur has to have some intrinsic qualities as a base line to even start. Your point is well taken that only a diamond in the rough will become a diamond.

Can this raw capability of an aspiring entrepreneur be polished to improve their chances of success?

“Just Do It” may work for Nike but it is a major reason for the high failure rate among entrepreneurs. They know what they know and are blissfully ignorant of other factors. These intrinsic qualities need to be honed and polished to inoculate them against most causes of failure.

Can we teach Entrepreneurship and Innovation ? I believe we can at least improve upon the base line.

The question is whether a University is the right place, today, to do it? Should it be? What do they need to do to be the go to place for entrepreneurs?
